Story

Thank you for visiting  my web page. In May 2011 I’m undertaking quite a challenge – cycling nearly 300 miles in Malawi to raise funds for The David Gordon Memorial Hospital in Livingstonia, northern Malawi. Malawi is amongst the world poorest and most densely populated countries and is ravaged by HIV/Aids (over 10% of the population are affected), Malaria and other diseases. Life expectancy is around 50 years and infant mortality high. By undertaking this ride I hope to do my bit to improve matters.

Funds raised will be channelled through EMMS (www.emms.org) to the hospital where it will be spent on such things as providing water and solar power to outlying clinics, training staff and refurbishing the buildings. As the trip ends there, I will get to see the real need and what has already been done.

Please help me to help those in such desperate need, for whom what we take for granted is seen as riches indeed.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
