When you’re diagnosed with Parkinson’s you need a fantastic team around you of health and social care professionals. We are determined to make sure no matter where you live, that team will be there.

Story

On the 12th September I will be doing the Great North Run which I am both excited and nervous about.

My Dad has always been a healthy and active person, who ran the Great North Run in 1985. He has encouraged and inspired me to be fit and so this run is dedicated to him.

He was diagnosed with Parkinsons in 2018 and since that time the disease has effected all aspects of his daily life making things often a real challenge.

There is currently no cure for the disease and all donations will be used to give much needed support to sufferers and into research. It will also give me a boost to help me make it to the finish line 😄

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.
