Raising money for ME, CFS, Fibromyalgia research

Story

I actually work from home quite a lot, and so this means that on busy clinic days, I can do as few as 1,800 steps a day and might not even get out of the house.

This goes against everything I encourage my clients to do, which is to spend time outside (particularly for the wonderful morning light), and gentle exercise helps to move the lymph, encourage circulation and the elimination of toxins.

The challenge for me, is that the only way I can do this is to get up earlier and I so love my bed!

Anyone who knows me knows the battle I face every morning, prising myself away from the comfort of my bed. That said, I do supsect that I may be missing out on a bit of life by not get getting up and out earlier in the day, so I am looking to be out walking at 7:30am for half an hour or so.

I know what we do at the Optimum Health Clinic can make a real difference to most people with CFS / ME and fibromyalgia.. Having worked with the Clinic for 8 years now, it breaks my heart when I hear stories of people making sacrifices, selling their belongings, taking out loans and borrowing from friends and familly in order to pay for consultations, tests and supplements. There of course so many people who don¹t come to us at all because financailly it just is not an option.

Its vital that we can demonstrate through the clinical trial that what we are doing works, so the services we offer could be available on the NHS.
