Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have been inspired to take on this challenge in memory of Hannah Francis, the young event rider who sadly lost her life to cancer.
The challenge is to compete in a BE80 event - this means me and Sonny have to compete in a one day event doing showjumping, dressage and cross country. For many people this may be easy, however for a fat, unfit, forty something female who has never ever competed in anything, this is so far out of my comfort zone I can hardly even begin to tell you. But rather than wimp out I have decided to face my fears, get on with living and raise some money for a good cause at the same time.
I absolutely love cross country jumping and sadly spend many hours dreaming about it, however anyone who has seen me on a cross country course knows what a complete and utter jibbering wreck it turns me into! I think several pairs of brave pants will be required during the next year while me and Sonny get fit, face the fear and start competing.
This will be one of the most difficult challenges I have faced, but is nothing compared to those facing the daily challenge of living with cancer. Every single penny raised will be going to the charity - all of the events preparing for the challenge will be self funded.
