Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The London to Paris bike ride, 300km over 3  days. I completed this over the weekend June 22-25 2012 with an excellent crowd of fellow cyclists. An ambitious challenge and a target for my big 5-0 year  !

As many of you will know,  I attempted this same event Sept 9 2011 but a bike accident resulted in my having to abandon the challenge. I was determined to take part again and reach Paris in one piece.

The ride was physically challenging especially with the rainstorms and high winds but good humour and excellent supportive team helped us along. 

This is a great opportunity to raise money for Arthritis Research UK, to enable them to continue to strive to raise awareness about arthritis which affects many children, young people and adults, and support research to make real change to people's lives.

I have been astounded as to the generosity of so many and passed my first target of £1000 in just a few weeks. I have had other donations by cheque and to date have over £2000.

I am keeping this page open throughout the year and will hope to raise as much as I can for such a worthwhile charity.
