Walk for Scotland takes place on Sunday 6th June 2010, starting at 9:30am in Holyrood Park Edinburgh. It's a 12 mile walk in and around the city.

The charity I am walking for is called F.A.C.E - Fighting Against Cancer in Edinburgh. When my younger sister Gina was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma in 2008 aged just 12, we became members to help out in any way we could. F.A.C.E are a small Edinburgh based charity which help out with the little things that mean a lot for cancer patients.

Every December F.A.C.E take a group of children from various backgrounds to Lapland to visit Santa and his workshop. Gina was on this trip in 2008 and loved every minute! Since then some of Gina's friends from Ward 2 in the Sick Kids Hospital in Edinburgh have been on the trip and thought it was fantastic!!

With Gina having gone through chemotherapy and recently going through high dose treatment with isolation after a relapse in November 2009 I just want to do whatever I can to help.

 

Without her I would be lost in life...
