Bupa Great Manchester Run 2014 · 18 May 2014 ·

Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the only charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I've decided to enter the Manchester 10k for two reasons: a personal fitness challenge and to raise some money for charity in memory of my dad, Len Rigby.  There isn't much time left to do the necessary training and I may not get round in a respectable time, but I simply want to complete the run and help The Stroke Association continue their fabulous work.  My inspirational dad passed away suddenly in August 2012 after suffering a severe brain aneurysm and I am so proud to run in his memory.  I'm sure he will help me get round!

So, please dig deep and give as much as you can to propel me round the course and honour a wonderful man.

Thanks everybody,

Helen xxx
