After my grandad died in January I made the decison to enter the Great North Run in his memory. After suffering several heart attacks during his life, he finally died of heart failure on the 22nd January 2012 although he was a true fighter until the end.

He has left a big hole in all our lives and will be truly missed but never forgotten. I only hope that by raising as much money as possible I can not only help others but make my grandad as proud of me as I was of him.
