Story
Daniel and I are taking part in Nottingham Hospital's Charity Skydive! Jumping out of a plane at over 10,000 feet, flying through the clouds at 120mph all to raise funds for Nottingham’s Hayward House Palliative Care Unit at the City Hospital. It has been postponed twice now due to bad weather, so will just do it now the first chance we get, rather than booking and getting disappointed.
We are celebrating the life of Alan after what would have been his 70th birthday by doing this skydive. Hayward House cared for Alan in his last few days and created a safe place for us to be together as a family for the last time. The staff there are selfless and give so much of themselves to their patients, in fact consider it a privilege to do so, and we would like to show our thanks by raising as much as we can to help the unit, it's staff and their patients.
Donations will help provide extra nurses, complementary therapists, art therapists, enhancements to the patient environment including a peaceful garden, family room, quiet room and counselling rooms.
Please help us give back to this amazing unit by donating to our Just Giving page.
Thank you,
Helen and Daniel Colquhoun
