I’m hoping to walk 32.5 miles on Saturday the 23 of June as part of The Parish Walk. I’ve never done anything like this before but I’m challenging myself with an aim to raise money for Victim Support Isle of Man in memory of Jamie Haslett. 

 

Jamie was tragically killed in a car accident in October 2010, at the age of just 19 years old. Jamie was an enthusiastic, fun loving guy who is terribly missed by everyone who was lucky enough to know him!

 

 

 Victim Support is an Isle of Man charity which offers free and confidential help to victims and witnesses of crime, their family and friends. Jamie’s parents, his sister and 2 brothers were helped through such an impossibly difficult time by Victim Support Isle of Man and the Charity relies upon donations from the general public. Jamie’s family channel their efforts in to raising money for the worthy charity in Jamie’s memory. Having seen how strong Jamie’s family are, it has inspired me to want to do something to help the cause. 

 

This walk will be a real challenge for me and I've never done anything like it before but I'll have Jamie and his family in mind at all times to get me through!
