MASH is an amazing, unique charity, where I work.

We help women in Manchester who are trapped in prostitution (sex work). We see women in real crisis with no-where else to turn. Our help is practical and caring and I've seen women, who thought they had no future, become empowered to take control of their lives for the first time.

I've met some really interesting women at MASH and here are some of the things they've said about the help they've had from our fab Case Workers:

'MASH are the only family I've got. They've saved my life so many times'

'They helped me finish street sex working 2 years ago and apply for 'normal' jobs. I see my life differently...I'll never go back to that work. I did it because I didn't have any money, now I hope to get a job'.

'No matter what they're there for us'.

MASH helped me attend a court case after I was raped. I would not have gone without MASH. He got 22 years'.

'MASH have helped me stand up for myself and face to up things that are going on'.

I'm not a natural runner.  So far I've trained for the best part of a year and every run is a real battle of wills! I'm very (very) slow but I'm also very determined and have got up to 11 miles (just once - but it counts!).
