Story
The Challenge is on!
After a 12 month delay due to the Coronavirus, training has now resumed for The Florence Nightingale Ridgeway Walk - One of Britain's oldest roads covering 80 miles.
There will be approximately 30 of us taking part in the challenge. Completing 20 miles each day for 4 days will be a mental and physical push, however, it's for an amazing cause and one very close to my heart. In June 2019 my husband John received incredible end of life care in this haven full of extraordinarily dedicated people. I will forever be grateful for all their support and especially for facilitating John spending his last week at home.
Florence Nightingale Hospice is more than just a Hospice. Some of you reading this will know exactly what I mean, it's been a tough year for us all and charities are no exception. Please give what you can and help me, to help them, to keep offering their services to those in need - your support means everything. Thank you x x
This recent good spell of weather has given me the kick to get started with some proper training. Walking in the Chiltern Hills is always good exercise, teamed up with TRX training three times a week (via Zoom) courtesy of Ruthy & Claire, I should be fit for nothing in no time!
I hope to update you from time to time with my training progress - so watch this space!
Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity commits to raise £1million each and every year to ensure the incredible services can continue, such as the new Hospice at Home service which ensures those wishing to remain at home, can do so whilst receiving the same high standard of care they would as an inpatient.
Without supporters becoming part of Team Flo and taking on challenges whilst raising funds, the Hospice services just would not continue. Every penny counts so please donate what you can and cheer us on through the miles to come!
THANK YOU
