Story
Our dad had battled with stage 4 Prostate Cancer for 5 years. With the odds ever against him, he finally fell Ill for the last time at the end of 2021 having taken every treatment he could and having managed to swerve COVID19! In his final weeks Hospice at Home have provided support and help for him and for all of us who cared for him which was so incredibly important to us.
We are ever in the debt of the volunteers from hospice at home for their support both during dads illness and in the support that they are providing now. For us, this is absolutely a charity that we want to support to ensure that other families in the same situation are given the same level of support and comfort in the most darkest of days.
Hospice at Home West Cumbria have been caring for patients, their families and loved ones for over 33 years and we need to ensure we can continue to provide this care. Our nursing team are continuing to provide care in patients homes at this critical time and this care is only possible due to the fundraising efforts of our staff, volunteers and supporters in the West Cumbrian community.Unfortunately, Coronavirus has already had a huge impact on our fundraising efforts. Our main fundraising event KAPOW! has had to be cancelled, community events have been cancelled and our charity shops are closed. This will leave a huge gap in our income and we need to bridge this gap. We are the only provider of Hospice services in West Cumbria and we need your support more than ever to make sure we can continue doing what we do. .Please donate whatever you can to our Emergency Appeal and share our page far and wide.
