Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have 2 rare conditions and want to raise money for research to help others.

I haveself published my book. It is available through Amazon as a paperback and inkindle format.

I was born with Hereditary Multiple Exostoses and endured many operations for HME from age 11 to 22. I was treated at Birmingham Children’s Hospital and later the Royal Orthopaedic. I have had ME (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis) since 2000 although it wasn’t diagnosed until a few years ago after I didn’t recover from a simple operation and then infection.

My cup always appears half full. Rarely is the half empty ever divulged to others. The smile hides so much.

Using rhyme has become a cathartic way for me to explore and explain my difficultiesto others. I have shown some of my rhymes to friends and they encouraged me topublish. They were able to identify with the issues, despite not suffering fromeither HME or ME themselves.

Despite my physical limitations, I have a zest for gaining knowledge. I love to help others.  I try to lead a busy life.

This is my first published book, but I have more ideas for at least another book.
