Story
So as you may remember lockdown 2020 made us dig our bikes out Then in a moment of madness following our first sunshine filled outing we thought signing up for a 50 mile cycle challenge was a good idea - especially as it was virtual so we had a chance of completing it with our own route and multiple outings. Well. We did it, yey! In all weathers, across 4 outings - 3 Saturdays and a midweek evening ride to finish.
So 2021 is here, and the Bike ride is back. this year there was the option to sign up to one of 2 official 50mile routes - Highway or Hardcore. Or (luckily for us) to do it Virtually again... we decided as we’d hardly been out on our bikes since the last one that it was unlikely we’d be able to do it all in one go.... but we had the great idea of doing it across 2 rides....so that’s the plan - utter madness!
Due to us signing up last minute and illness we only have a few days to complete the challenge - 2 rides in under a week to get our 50mile target by the deadline.... we must be crazy!
But it’s for a great cause, so we’re giving it our best shot. Wish us luck!
