Story
Andy and Helen are running the Scottish Half marathon in aid of the Mountain Rescue council of Scotland. We've been training hard - Andy is aiming to complete in 1 hour 40 mins and Helen in 2 hours 10 mins.
The Mountain Rescue Committee of Scotland is a registered charity in Scotland (No SC015257) , all Mountain Rescue is voluntary and funded by public donations. Teams are made up of volunteers who are on call 24 hours a day 365 days a year. They respond to the need to find and rescue people whenever called. Each team has to carry a variety of equipment to meet the challenge of Rescues in all weathers. The Mountain Rescue Committee of Scotland provides support to the teams in the form of Courses, Grants and Equipment.
If you want to give to a different cause Helen is doing the Walk the Walk challenge the week before (yes she is effectively doing one-and-a-half-marathons over a week) details for how you can sponser her for that are here http://www.walkthewalkfundraising.org/liss_hens
