Story

13 weeks to go until the big day and nerves are starting to set in!
I originally entered the ballot for the London Marathon when i was running 3/4 times a week and had just completed the Silverstone Half Marathon and achieved a PB! Not long after i had no races booked and training slowed down and the London Marathon was tucked away at the back of my mind until the phonecall i received in August 2013 to say i had got a ballot place via the charity, panic set in and also a reality of a goal that i had always wanted to achieve was now a possibility. I then also got into the VLM ballot so 2 places for the same race guess it is meant to be!! Since September i have been going out twice a week and built myself up to Half Marathon standard and even achieving a PB last week!!

This is now where the hard work starts, i have previously ran 2 x Half Marathons but never any further.

I am raising money for Katharine House again as i cannot thank them enough for the care they gave my Grandma in her final couple of weeks and also the support and understanding they showed my Grandad and the rest of the family during that hard time.

If you are able to donate no matter how little this will help me when i am out on my training runs in the cold and rain know that i am doing it for them, it is also a local charity and the chances are at some point we will all know somebody that has needed the help that Katharine House offer.
