Story
4 sisters. 30-days of Ramadan.
We've decided to challenge ourselves this Ramadan. For 30-day, 30-suhoors, we will be having an odd number of dates and water/skimmed-milk/coconut milk. Nothing else.
Why? We're all enthusiastic about mental health (the twins being psychology graduates), whether we learnt it from the twin or the world, we love talking about it. For the last few months, we made it a habit to do Coffee Thursdays. This is when the four of us get together and talk about the week over coffee. It's our time away from the world but in our own world. So, we're all about having a positive support group.
Mental health means a lot to us. It's something we can all connect and learn from. We learn from each other. The connection between the four of us has become stronger, subhanAllah; if it's because of Coffee Thursdays, then so be it. To come from different educational backgrounds, understanding the importance of mental health is something we all agree on. From analysing to talking, support systems are what we need to know that we are not alone.
This Ramadan, we want to share Sunnah Suhoor with you. Us four + you. Together, we can raise awareness about mental health. Please join us in making this possible this Ramadan by donating to our page. A little something can make a big difference.
All funds raised will be donated to Inspirited Minds, a registered Muslim mental health charity, that works to raise and provide mental health services to all.
