Story
Those of you who know me well know that I LOVE camping and I love to camp in my garden, whether or not we're in a lockdown! So I have been taking an interest in the story of 11-year-old Max Woosey, who has been camping in a tent in his garden for a whole year! I camped in my garden a few times last summer (and previous years too), but I've never done it for a whole year!
So...I’ll be joining ‘Max’s Big Camp Out on Saturday 27th March and I’d be so grateful for any donations. He has inspired kids to do their own campout on this night, but I hope he doesn't mind a very middle-aged woman joining in on the fun! Just to make it more challenging, my aim is to camp out all week in the run-up to Easter.
I am raising money for Yeldall Manor, a charity started by my parents over 40 years ago. Yeldall is a drug and alcohol rehab centre in Berkshire, providing hope and freedom to those seeking to leave a life of addiction.
