Story

I was diagnosed with bowel cancer aged 36 and again at 38. I am thankfully now free of disease due to amazing treatment and care from our NHS.

April is bowel cancer awareness month plus this Sunday should have been the London marathon, so lots of charities are encouraging people to fundraise and/or donate to recoup losses caused by the pandemic. They’ve called it the 2.6 challenge and have asked people to set a goal around the number 26.

So Pete and I have decided to challenge ourselves to cycle to various locations around Essex, covering 26 landmarks, so we’ll be cycling roughly 26 miles (exact route TBC, watch this space!) 🚴🏻‍♀️🚴🏼‍♂️

People are still affected by cancer every day. Young people get bowel cancer. Please donate whatever you can to fund research that will treat and eventually eradicate this cruel disease, thank you 🙏🏼
