I am taking part in the Great Manchester Run Chief's Race to support The Christie. The Christie is one of Europe’s leading cancer centres, treating over 40,000 patients a year. Based in Manchester it serves a population of 3.2 million across Greater Manchester & Cheshire, but as a national specialist around 15% of patients are referred from other parts of the country.

The charity raisies money to fund projects at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, which are outside the scope of the NHS, including equipment, research and complementary therapies to make patients lives a little easier.
