Story

Hello all, on Saturday 14th July I'll be running the Nottingham Inflatable 5K in a hedgehog suit (pictured) to raise money for Tiggywinkles, The Wildlife Hospital Trust.

Tiggywinkles is a wildlife hospital provides life-saving care to over 10,000 British wildlife every year, catering for all creatures great and small - badgers, foxes, deer, garden birds, and of course the eponymous hedgehog - just to name a few! They receive no government funding and rely solely on charitable donations. Those of you know me well know that I worked for the hospital for 8 years on and off in some capacity, so it's a cause that's close to my heart.

The Inflatable 5K is a grueling obstacle 5 kilometeres in length (clue's in the name), made all the more grueling that I will be donning Tiggywinkles' famous 'Heather the Hedgehog' costume for its duration. Heather the Hedgehog has been entertaining kids for decades but has never taken the time to watch her weight. It's time for her to lose all that weight she put on before hibernation!
