I am running the Flora London Marathon for the British Heart Foundation on 26th April 2009 in loving memory of my wonderful aunt and godmother Gwen, who died suddenly from heart disease when she was 41. She was a lovely lady so full of life and kindness and I miss her very much.

I passionately believe in the work and message of the British Heart Foundation and feel that they can help prevent this kind of tragedy happening to other families.

I did it! I did it! On Sunday 26th April I crossed the finish line in 5 hours 14 minutes and 49 seconds! My legs were in agony, my lungs were aching and I was totally sunburnt but it was one of the best moments of my life! I think this picture sums up how I was feeling!

I had fantastic support around the route from my friends and family (easy to spot decked out in red Heartrunner supporter t-shirts with a fantastic banner and waving bam bams) and the crowds of London. The atmosphere on the day was amazing! I loved it!
