Cancer will have touched most of us at some point in our lifetime.. Unfortunately it introduced itself to 2 of my best friends within 2 years of each other. My Husband Chris and Rose, who was both diagnosed with Bowel Cancer.  Both went through the necessary Operations and Chemo.

Rose's treatment eradicated and managed to keep her Cancer away for 3 years but Unfortunately the Cancer returned and after 2 more years she sadly passed away in 2013.

Chris was initially diagnosed at stage 4 (Bowel and Liver - there is no stage 5...) and is currently Cancer FREE... and has been for the past 2 years..  Yes.. It can happen....

Cancer Research allowed Rose to enjoy 5 more crazy years on this planet.. where she embraced every moment. 

Cancer Research has allowed Chris to survive Stage 4 cancer... Stage 4!.. which would never have happened 10 years ago, but with the dedication and support from donations, Cancer Research was able to identify new treatments that has allowed my Chris to enjoy life and have hope.

So all those little tiny pounds that you think don't mean a lot.. well they do.  We are closing in on Cancer and very soon we will turn it into a manageable condition and eventually cure it!..  

So I'm not doing this for Me or Chris, but for those people that will be diagnosed in the future, just like the donations that helped with the discovery of the treatments that helped Rose and Chris.
