As most of you probably know, I have entered Race for Life for the last 7 years and have enjoyed raising money for a cause close to mine and other people's hearts. When I re-entered for this years race for life (last year) I assumed that I would be able to take part, unbeknown to me that my foot would be a lot worse than ever; plus as some of you are aware, I am currently having to make a life changing decision regarding my foot.
With that in mind I decided that I wouldn't take part this year at all. Then my younger son Ryan offered to push me around the 5km course in my wheelchair.
This years Race for Life means a lot to us as a family because Ryan lost his great grandmother (my grandmother-in-law) to cancer last October.
