Rachel's Singathon in support of Taw Community Welcome

Fundraising for The Pickwell Foundation
£900
raised of £700 target
Rachel's Singathon, 15 May 2021
We are a Community Sponsorship group who initially started out as two groups from Marwood and Goodleigh. We have since expanded and are working together to re-settle a Syrian Family in Barnstaple in the early part of 2022.

Story

Rachel has Down Syndrome and autism, and she wants to help a refugee family re-settle in Devon as part of the Taw Community Welcome group. She is very keen to be involved in fundraising and has decided that singing is the way to go! Rachel has decided to do a Singathon on the 15th May 2021. She has selected all her songs personally, and there is a eclectic mix from Take That to Bruce Springsteen and of course a medley from Disney films - including Frozen. What's not to love?! Please please support Rachel to help a family in real and desperate need. And pray that we all survive the noise on the 15th May....

£10,000 is our ultimate goal by the end of 2021. With this money we can rescue a family from a refugee camp and help them start a new life in Devon. The fundraising started with tree planting on Exmoor (6th February) followed by a family walking 100 miles in May,  teams competing in the Croyde Triathlon (4th July) and a cycle ride from Bristol to Glasgow for the start of the COP 26 Climate change conference (1st Nov) so setting off end Oct. Plus other events are to be arranged.

Please help Rachel to make an amazing difference to the lives of one family.
