Jamie managed to talk me into completing the Edinburgh Marathon in April 2010 following a 17 mile run, which upon completion, he said ‘you don’t look totally knackered, why don’t you do a marathon its only another 9 miles’.  So here I am. (thanks for that Jamie! x)

Training is under way for what I can only describe as probably the hilliest marathon I could have chosen, however being from Yorkshire I will not let this phase me in the slightest, and am determined to succeed.

Most of you will know my nana & grandad pictured here, my grandad who sadly lost his fight with lung cancer.  I am therefore raising money for both Macmillan Cancer Support and Overgate Hospice in Elland who supported my granddad throughout his illness.

We have no doubt all being affected by family, friends and colleagues who have or are suffering from cancer and whilst we may not be able to beat it, we can ensure that enough cash is raised to help provide support to those who need it.
