Story
Penny is 4 and was born with Spina Bifida. She has limited feeling below her hips and is doubly incontinent.
To date she has had 6 operations and numerous hospital stays. She has recently had a Storma operation meaning every day she has to have her bowels flushed and will do so for the rest of her life.
Penny takes every day in her stride and does not let her life situation bring her down, she always has an amazing smile and is one of the funniest little girls I know. Everyone loves Penny.
The Evening Chronicle Sunshine Fund bought her first wheelchair and have supported us ever since. As a token of our gratitude and to help other family’s, Penny will compete in this years mini GNR in the wheelchair they purchased for her and will be pushed by her Godmother Nicky.
Nicky has now completed 3 GNR’s and each year has run for a charity which has supported Penny. She is taking part in the run again for the 4th time on Sunday 9th September to raise money for the Sunshine Fund.
Please support Penny and this amazing charity who have helped her deal with every day life.
