At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Some of you may not know that I am not good with heights..not good at all.

So it is for reasons as yet unclear to me that I have agreed to take part in a 400ft (that's 127m!!) sponsored abseil on 4th February.

I'm already getting sweaty palms and palpitations at the thought. It's REALLY high, just check out the pictures on this page. That is the National Lift Tower in Northampton, and the tallest permanent abseil structure in the world. *eek*

But I am going to man up and take on the challenge for Alzheimer's Society, to raise vital funds to support people affected by dementia.

The money raised by this event will help to:

  • give 100,000 people easy-to-access support and information through the Dementia Community Roadshow
  • give 10,000 isolated families specialist care and advice through Alzheimer's Society's Dementia Support Workers
  • fund two vital dementia research scientists to conduct ground breaking research.

So please support my fundraising efforts by giving generously. Every pound of sponsorship will help me force myself over the edge of that huge terrifying building!

THANK YOU
