I am taking part in the 2017 Cobham Challenge – Forest 500!
No sleep and a 52 mile hike...easy right?
Our challenge will commence on Thursday 22nd June. Our three day challenge will comprise of up to five activities running concurrently and I will personally be undertaking a challenge of hiking 52 miles (84km) over the South Downs into the New Forest in one hit. This is estimated to take between 24 - 30 hours walking through the night and day to complete.
This year I will be raising funds to support Chestnut Tree House. This is the only children's hospice in East and West Sussex. It cares for over 280 children and young adults from 0-25 years of age with progressive life-limiting conditions from Sussex and South East Hampshire. There are potentially 1,000 families with life-limited children in Sussex.
Chestnut Tree House offers support for the whole family including psychological and bereavement support, end of life care, short break care and sibling support. Follow this link to a video that perfectly displays exactly why we fundraise for Chestnut Tree House: https://youtu.be/W8c0eEDv80c
