Story
Inspired by a friend, and looking for a tough challenge, I have decided to enter the Snowman Legend triathlon. Well known as the toughest multi terrain triathlon in the UK, it is the ultimate challenge and not for the faint hearted. It is half-Ironman distance and with a lot of climbing (it's in Snowdonia). So...
1900m swim
57 mile bike with 5518ft elevation gain
13 mile run with 2788ft elevation gain
I've been meaning to raise money for charity for a long time. In my 30's I finally got the support and counselling I needed from an incredible charity called Seren, however this charity no longer exists, funding ran out and people like me will never be able to receive the support I got. NAPAC (National Association for People Abused in Childhood) fulfils a similar role to Seren's and I hope that funding this charity will mean that help will always be available to those in need. Obviously this challenge means a huge amount to me, the counselling I got from Seren has enabled me to rebuild my life and put me on the path to healing the deep scars of trauma. I therefore am going to be pestering and posting incessantly over the next year to get you all to donate every last penny you can spare.
