Story
Our Mum was diagnosed with fronto-temporal dementia in 2009, aged 67. We have been on a mammoth journey since the, with many difficult times. Discrimination was all too common and standards of care just not good enough for this day and age.
Sadly Mum died in June 2015 - my sister and I miss her terribly. However, by setting some goals, and with the help of family and friends, we hope to make a small contribution to this cause.
Shirl has already made great progress towards a combined joint target so about time for me to step up! So I'm hoping to take a stroll to Everest base Camp In November - hopefully the flight to the dodgiest airstrip in the world, lack of sheer stamina, altitude sickness, and acute fear of heights won't get in the way!
