Heartbeat United are back in town!
It's 3 years on from the Guinness World Record breaking event for the longest continuous 11 a-side football match which lasted a whopping 108 hours!
This time their challenge is to play an 11 a-side 12-hour footballing Marathon which will run from 9.30am to 9.30pm on Bank Holiday Monday 27th May 2019 at Culver Road, Lancing - the home of Sussex FA and Lancing Football Club.
They will face 6 teams from different footballing backgrounds and they will once again face physical and mental challenges throughout the day.

During the course of this event, the average Heartbeat player, if he or she played all the matches, can expect to run about the same as a Marathon!

As well as celebrating the 3 year anniversary of the World Record, we all want to remember the reason why we started this incredible feat - Matt Chaplain, Matthew Grimstone and Jacob Schilt - three lovely guys and keen footballers who were taken from us far too early. We also want to say to their families and friends that we are still thinking of you and you are not alone.

We also would love to support a fantastic local charity 'Coastal West Sussex Mind'. An independent local mental health charity working in West Sussex. Offering mental health services, along with associated training and support. Also working in communities to raise awareness and challenge stigma and discrimination. Services support young people, adults, older adults, carers and families affected by mental health problems.
