We support brain injury survivors in Surrey to live well

Story

This October, we will be running the London marathon for Headway Surrey. Our aim is to raise funds for a fantastic cause that helps so many individuals and families.

Headway Surrey provides support for any over 18 who has suffered any traumatic brain injury. They enable adults in Surrey to live well with their acquired brain injury, to be independent and to support their families. To do this, they offer a range of services to help with memory, information processing, decision making, managing fatigue, understanding the brain and cognition, emotional and behavioural changes. They provide peer support opportunities and social groups to enable independence and motivation to achieve their best. They support as many people as they can back into employment or volunteering.

They are having a tough time raising funds and desperately need all the support they can get, having finished the financial year at with a -£66,000.  Acquired brain injury could affect you and your family at any time.  Eg. Road traffic accident, stroke, heart attack, sports injury, aneurysm, encephalitis, trips, falls, falling objects, assault, combat, domestic violence, meningitis, drowning, carbon monoxide poisoning, work incidents and of course brain tumors and many more things.

Your donation will help this charity provide much needed support to many and will help us three get across the line! Your support is much appreciated! Charlie, Gus & Felix
