Story
Sue Reed is raising money for Headway North Derbyshire who provide information, support and services to brain injury survivors and their families/carers.
Sue Reed will be completing the Halifax Long March 2019 to raise money for Headway North Derbyshire.
The walk starts on Easter Sunday and continues throughout the night walking up some very challenging hills for a marathon 26 miles. Through wind, rain or snow, Sue will power through from midnight until sunrise!
The courage and motivation to complete the route comes from remembering my dear friend and chairman of Headway North Derbyshire, Peter Shaw, who sadly passed away after a short illness in January 2019.
Headway North Derbyshire is a local charity supporting people who are living with the long-term effects of a brain injury and their families. We provide a range of services that bring people together in a supportive environment helping them on their road to recovery to a life back into the community.
Headway North Derbyshire subscribes to and is a branch of Headway – the brain injury association
