Story

LOROS is a charity whose aim is to enhance the quality of life of adult patients with cancer, progressive neurological conditions and end-stage organ failure for whom curative treatment is no longer possible. Patients are treated at the Hospice and in the community based upon clinical need, regardless of background and the ability to pay.

I have chosen this charity specifically as it provides a service close to my heart.

9 years ago my mummy passed away from Cancer. She was looked after by a hospice who offered care to those who were end of life. They did an amazing job and provided my wee mummy with a very comfortable stay and looked after her like she was family. Since then I have done what I can to raise money for that hospice in particular including regular donations from my salary and a few 5K runs.

During my mummy's illness she was afraid to lose her hair - and when she did I wish I had been brave enough to shave my hair in partnership, but I wasn't. Now is my time to stand with her and with those around Leicester and raise funds for the amazing work LOROS does.

I want to give back, and this small gesture can be really effective to so many people and I appreciate any and all donations made. Your kindness can go a long way.

I am doing this in memory of my mummy, but with all those affected by Cancer/End of life illnesses in my heart.

Thank you.
