Story
The Year 4 children and staff at Headley Park School are taking on the ‘Race to the North Pole’ Challenge this November before finishing for the Christmas holidays! We are doing it to raise money for CLIC Sargent because they help brave children who have cancer, and their families.
Our friend Esther is bravely undergoing treatment for cancer and we want to be champions to show how much we miss her at school.
It is 2734 miles between the UK and Santa in the North Pole. £2,734 would ‘pay for a day’ at all 10 CLIC Sargent Homes from Home, keeping families together so that neither Cancer nor Coronavirus can cancel Christmas for children with cancer and their families. In Bristol, we have two homes with 31 rooms. £1023 would pay for every room to be filled!
The children and staff are going to walk, run, scoot, cycle, roller skate or swim as many miles as they can before the end of Christmas term! Please donate whatever you can to support them, Esther, CLIC Sargent and all the children and families they help!
£33 could pay for a family to stay for an evening over Christmas at a CLIC Sargent Home from Home close to the hospital where their child receives cancer treatment. How many families can we help? Can we pay for a day at all 10 CLIC Sargent Homes from Home!?
