Story

Sparta Systems are getting on their bikes for charity!

Commercial director Mathew Bates and Andrew McDermott - husband of business manager Natalie - are riding 273 miles from Headingley to Lord's in October. The original route from Paris to London has been abandoned due to travel restrictions and, having expected the ride to be cancelled, we are now in a race against time to get fit and raise funds so would love your support.

The ride involves riding further than either of us have ever done before on all three days:

Day 1 - Headingley to Lincoln (92 miles)
Day 2 - Lincoln to Cambridge (108 miles)
Day 3 - Cambridge to London (73 miles)

The Professional Cricketers' Trust has faced an estimated fundraising shortfall of £200,000 in 2020 due to COVID-19, a huge blow to a small charity that funds life-changing medical assistance, crisis helplines, mental health support and provides assistance through welfare, education and support during difficult times.
