Hi everyone.
Well the training has started!!!, Hazel and Thomas are on their way to their mammoth cycle
Just over 2 years ago my sister Eleanor got the devastating news that she had lung cancer, its every family's worse nightmare. She fought hard, day in and day out and worked hard to keep her life as normal as possible.
As the time went on it was clear the cancer was progressing, she lost her hair on a number of occasions(i'll never forget the first time she asked me to cut it all off), but she still had her sense of humour!!
At the later stages Eleanor had set herself some goals the first one to attend Jaqualine and Gordons wedding this was in June and the second was Louise's (her daughter's) 18th birthday party which was in August. She made both! but lost her fight for life on the 25th August 2009.
The weeks and months that passed were extremely tough not just for her family but also for all her friends.
Now can you understand the importance of doing the cycle.
Myself and Thomas want to raise as much money as possible for marie curie, so they can help other famlies the same way they helped us
Give generously please
Hazel and Thomas xx
P.S. We're having a charity band night @ CAPITOL in Glasgow on Saturday the 10th April to help raise funds as well. Tickets are 10 pounds each with the usual raffles etc, all good fun and all monies raised are going to Marie Curie.
See me or Thomas if you'd like tickets.
