Story
Stephen Lawrence was a young person from South East London. He had a loving family, lots of friends and a dream to become an Architect. Sadly on 22nd April 1993, Stephen lost his life in a racially provoked attack.
He was just 18 years old, the same age as many pupils at Wisbech Grammar School.
The investigation into Stephen’s death, was hindered by “professional incompetence and institutional racism”.
Hazel House are supporting this cause to support the Stephen Lawrence Foundation to raise funds towards fostering greater opportunities for marginalised young people in the UK. We are
motivated to strive for an equal, inclusive society within our school community and beyond.
Our boarders in Hazel House are planning to walk
4.5 miles (around 9500 steps) on the school
grounds on Thursday 22 April 2021.

Blueprint for All is the new name for the Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust. They work with young people and communities to create an inclusive society in which everyone, regardless of their race, ethnicity or background, can thrive. Their high impact programmes in the built environment, schools & further education, and the community provide inspiration, opportunities and support to talented young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, enabling them to succeed. They don’t just believe in a fair and equitable future, they’re making it happen so we want to help them achieve this goal.
