Story

I always said running the marathon would be a one time thing; something to train for, achieve and then tick off my list of 'things to do before I am 30'. But last year, just 3 miles in, I tore a ligament in my right knee. Although I am proud to say that I managed to shuffle round the remaining 23 miles to the finish (behind the novelty rhino, but ahead of the hot dog), I know I can do it better... so here I am again!

As ever, I am running in memory of my brave Dad, Glenn, and raising money for the charity that supported our family so much in the final weeks of his brain tumor battle. I don't expect to raise anything near the figure of £779 you helped me reach last year (thank you all), but if you could spare the cost of a pint for this very worthy cause I would be extremely grateful. They really do such valuable work and St Barnabas House relies solely on charitable donations in order to keep going.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please, think of me out there training in the freezing cold, and donate now!
