On Friday March 16th, I will be swapping my warm bed for the cold outdoors, as I'll be spending the night 'sleeping rough' for the YMCA's Sleep Easy event to raise awareness and money to help combat the rising homelessness crisis.

The visible rise of people sleeping rough in Brighton & Hove as well as all around the UK is shocking and it's just not on. The money raised from this event will be split between two projects. Firstly, the YMCA who help young people facing homelessness among many other things. Secondly, to Brighton & Hove's Galvanise project, which is a community-led campaign with local people working together to end rough sleeping by 2020. So, there's a lot of work to be done.
