Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
For those of you that know me, know that in the last few years I have come to love running, and that I have even been known to run half marathon's for fun!
The Cardiff half and I have a difficult relationship as the last two attempts have resulted in injury and a break from running after them! So I vowed never to "Do Cardiff" again as it seemed to be my "doomed" race!
However I have reconsidered because I am still able to do the things I love; and there are so many that are unable to. In particular Sam, who sadly passed away on 3rd December 2012 after a short but brave battle with motor neurone disease at the young age of 30.
I have decided to run in his memory as his battle with MND was over too quickly, leaving him unable to do many of the things that we all take for granted.
5 people in th UK die every day as a result of MND, and there is no cause or cure. Every penny raised furthers research to find a cure and to help people who are currently living with this cruel illness, who like Sam during his short battle, continue to receive fantastic support from the charity.
