I'm joining thousands of others across the UK to Walk in Her Name this March, Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month.

In 2025, a woman will die every two hours from ovarian cancer in the UK. We know survival is more likely if it’s caught early, but there’s currently no screening option and symptoms can often be mistaken for other illnesses.

I'll be walking a total of 100km throughout March to raise money for a future where no woman dies of ovarian cancer. I know walking 100km over the course of a whole month, might not sound like much of a challenge. But I have my final 2 chemo sessions during that time, so with all the associated side effects, which pretty much wipe me out for a week each time, it feels like a challenge to me.

But this is so much more than a personal challenge - it's a collective step forward. It’s a rally for change and a beacon of hope for those affected by ovarian cancer.
