Story
My name is Hayley Morby I am 22 years old and I will be running the London Marathon on Sunday 17th April.
I have always wanted to run the London Marathon for as long as I can remember and I'm a strong believer that you can pretty much train for anything but you have to believe strongly in what you are doing it for as no matter how much training you do you still have to get threw the mental barriers in your head that make you want to give up.
After losing my boyfriends mum Katrina Green on 3rd April 2010 and watching her flight her Cancer with great strength and dignity I knew then that I wanted to run in her memory and to raise money for the Joseph Weld Hospice where Katrina passed away. Joseph Weld is an amazing place, the people who work there are truly one of a kind. The support and comfort they offer patients and their families is truly inspiring. This and along with Katrina’s determination and love for life is what will get me around the London Marathon 2011 & why I want to raise as much money as I can to support the Joseph Weld hospice. Watching Katrina fight her cancer from beginning to end with such courage and dignity, always with a smile on her face and a positive outlook on life, never wanting anyone to feel sorry for her but simply to enjoy life is the bravest thing I will ever see. If I should ever be told that a loved one or complete stranger should have to go into Joseph Weld Hospice, although sad as it could mean their life is coming to an end but on the other hand very happy as I know without a dought they will receive the BEST care & support they could ever wish for.
My aim is to raise £3000 or more if possible
