Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My nephew Matthew has had arthritis since 18 months. Matthew is now 6 years old and his condition is managed mostly by Methotrexate and Humira alongside general anti-inflammatory medicines. Over the years he has had swelling and pain in the majority of his joints namely his hands, feet, knees, neck, jaw and in recent years his eyes (Uveitis). Matthew has been so lucky in receiving superb care from his rheumatology and nursing team over the years. I want to give something back and support the team in the South West who help other families and their children suffering arthritis and other related conditions. I am undertaking this firewalk in aid of Jump Up. Jump Up is part of the Paediatric Rheumatology Service in the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children. This service provides a dedicated, specialist team to help children and their families through this difficult time, with information, advice and specialist care and treatment.
