Story
Hello! Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am running the Brighton marathon on behalf of the charity Mind. They are a wonderful charity that give free counselling sessions, phone calls, and leaflets to assist those struggling with their mental health. Especially in the recent year with COVID-19 and three different lockdowns, it has not been easy for those with mental health problems.
Personally, I understand first-hand the positive effects that Mind counselling can have, as I used their service when I was struggling with my mental health. It is still a battle today in my head, fighting with the negative thoughts and 'I can't do this' - this is why I am running this marathon, to prove to myself that I CAN do this, that the low days are only temporary (even if it seems like forever in the moment).
Please donate whatever you can to my JustGiving page, to keep Mind going to bring assistance to those that need support with their mental health. One in four people will experience a mental health problem in a year, so the liklihood is that someone you care about will have or are currently experiencing a problem with their mental health, so any amount you can donate will go a long way! Thank you for reading, and please please donate.
