WE DID IT!!
This year (1st-3rd June 2018) we’re cycling a mammoth 145 miles from Barnsley to Amsterdam in aid of Prostate Cancer UK.
It will be Hayley’s second time doing the ride and Lucy’s first time!
Starting at Barnsley FC's Oakwell Stadium, early on Friday 1st June, our destination lies on the outskirts of the Dutch Capital, Amsterdam.
The Amsterdam ArenA, home of the world famous Ajax, is where the challenge will once again end.
145 miles of cycling over a two day period, challenging but it's brilliant fun!
Day One will see the riders cycle from Oakwell Stadium, home of Barnsley F.C through South Yorkshire and along Dearne Valley, across beautiful country roads heading north through Doncaster and Goole and into Hull for the finish before boarding the overnight Ferry for the overnight journey to Holland.
If you wish to see us off or come and support, breakpoints will be later confirmed.
We have a number of reasons for doing this, Lucy, unfortunately, lost her Grandad Dennis to Prostate Cancer in 2017 and this is mainly in memory of him.
Other than this, it has recently been reported that Prostate Cancer has taken over Breast Cancer in regards to the death toll, and its events like this that raise awareness and money to bring that back down.
Please share and give generously! This could potentially save someone's life.
Thank you in advance!
