Story
I am so excited (and slightly petrified) to finally be taking part in the London Marathon…. almost 10 years later than originally planned!
I had to give up my place in 2013 as I was too unwell to run and instead spent most of the year in hospital and recovering, a real low point and put a stop to me running for several years.
This really knocked my well-being and mental health, especially where running is my tonic.
So it is fitting that not only do I have a second chance to now run the London Marathon but importantly have an amazing opportunity to do so in support for The Charlie Waller Trust, raising much needed funds to support the extremely crucial work the charity does for mental health - and especially for children and young people, which is as important as ever and facing new challenges due to the impacts of the Covid pandemic.
