Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I don't think I quite know what I have signed myself up for! I thought 'charity walk', a chance to raise some money for a VERY worthy cause just by completing a leisurely albeit long walk one saturday afternoon. But this seemed hilarious to those who completed the walk last year! And I now I understand why!
With a 6am start! Not for the faint-hearted, this challenge dares you to complete 23 miles of the Offa’s Dyke path from Clwyd Gate to Dyserth, following the Clwydian Mountains.
It includes a series of sharp climbs and falls – including the highest point of Moel Fammau at 1,818 feet – against a backdrop of magnificent scenery. So there is a silver lining!
For someone who gets a taxi to her local on a Friday night, I think this walk is going to be more than a little bit challenging! I definately need your support! Please sponsor me, whatever you can spare. Maybe one less glass of wine this weekend? Or the next couple of weekends? Maybe your choclate allowance for the month? One less pair of shoes? One month of your xbox subscription?
Every penny you donate will make a difference to the lives of people in crisis in your area. Somebody you may know might already have been helped by The British Red Cross so please help!
